The journal

Privacy policy

This page explains what information the journal’s site keeps, what happens when you write to the editors, and how you can ask about the data held about you.

What data the site collects

The site does not require user accounts, and it does not set cookies used to track readers across other sites. Like most websites, the server keeps standard technical logs, including the network address of the visitor and the pages requested. These logs are kept for a limited time and are used only for security and to keep the site running. The service that protects the site against automated bots may place a strictly technical cookie to tell human visitors apart from automated traffic. That cookie does not follow you to other sites.

Messages sent through the form

When you send a message through the contact page, it is delivered by email to the editors and is not stored on the site itself. Your email address is used only to reply to your message and is not added to any list.

A question about your data

For any question about the data connected to you, you can write to contact@mapcastle.us. The editors will read your question and reply by email.

Your choices

You can ask by email to see the data held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Write to contact@mapcastle.us with your request, and the editors will answer reasonably fast and explain what they have done.
